A Deep Dive Into Simulated Screen Printing

Let’s
talk about one of the coolest ways to make your apparel designs pop. Simulated Process Screen Printing. Sounds super fancy right? But don’t worry about it, we’ll break it down for you.

So, what is Simulated Process?

Basically, it's a screen-printing technique that lets us create crazy detailed designs, we’re talking smooth gradients, realistic shading, and even photo-like quality for that more complex artwork. Instead of printing in the standard way using solid blocks of color, we layer and blend a much wider range of colors to get that dimension, depth, and seriously vibrant results.

Simulated process uses halftone dots, kind of like CMYK, but with a twist. These dots overlap and precisely blend to create new colors and smooth transitions. The big win here? We're not locked into a limited color palette like CMYK, and we're not stuck with those solid colors. It's the best of both worlds.

Why should you care about this?

Glad you asked. Here is why our sim process is awesome:

  • Photo-like quality: If your design has any shadows, special gradients, or a ton of colors, this method nails it. Subtle fades, realistic tones, lighting effects, things that standard printing can't pull off sim process does flawlessly.

  • Richer/bolder colors: Unlike standard CMYK, this process gives us way more flexibility to blend inks and create those bold, rich colors that your designs need. CMYK is limited by a smaller color gamut, which can leave some designs looking a bit dull. With sim process, we can build those custom ink sets to really capture those more vivid pieces.

  • Works on any color garment: Light, dark, neon, you name it. Sim process works beautifully on all types of fabric colors. One of the biggest perks? You're not stuck with printing on just white tees. This method adapts to nearly any fabric tone, so your art can pop just as much on a black hoodie as it does on a pink tank top.

  • Our team is really good at what they do: Our team knows what they’re doing. From prepping the artwork to laying down the inks in our printers, we can crank out your prints flawlessly.  Sim process isn't just about the inks, it's about precision. Our team knows how to choose the perfect screen meshes and dial in our presses for razer sharp accuracy.

Not only that, but the sim process is super versatile. You can use it on tees, hoodies, hats, beanies, you name it. It's a great way to offer a detailed, full-color print without being boxed into the limits of standard printing. While standard printing is great for clean bold logos and simple shapes, it falls short when it comes to that realism and texture.

TL;DR:

If your artwork is rich in color, photorealistic, or just too dope for the standard process, Simulated Process Screen Printing is your best bet.
